It turned out to be a heartfelt moment for Indian big-hitting left-hander Ishan Kishan, who shared a candid moment with a special cricket fan. In fact, during the conversation, Ishan revealed that he will not be playing in the Test series against South Africa.
Ishan Kishan Gets Candid With A Fan
Out-of-favour Indian batter Ishan Kishan is out of reckoning as of now after being omitted from the India squad since 2023 in all three formats. Following this, he was dropped from the side and, in fact, later from the central contract list, as he defied the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India)'s orders and didn't participate in domestic cricket.
Now, Kishan met a special fan at the venue as they both were talking about his cricket. The fan, wearing an India jersey while sitting on a wheelchair, expressed his gratitude to Ishan and asked him to score runs when India plays South Africa in the first Test from the 14th of November at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
On hearing this, Kishan immediately replied that he cannot be a part of this game as he is not on the side and won't be able to play in this encounter. Later, Kishan went on to have some great moments with a fan, whom he comforted by saying that he would bring him a new Indian jersey when he arrived tomorrow, as the young boy was quite impressed.
Kishan Not A Part Of India's Plans
As for Kishan, the left-handed big hitter has played for India in two Tests, 27 ODIs, and 32 T20I games, whereas in the IPL (Indian Premier League), he recently played for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), featuring in 14 games, scoring 354 runs at an average of 35.40, with a strike rate of 152.5, while striking a century and a half-century.
The road ahead for Kishan is quite bumpy, given India have packed their side in all three formats, and he might not be able to feature, considering there is no slot available as of now.
