He also has a whopping 22 half-centuries and two centuries to his name. Rahul has often laid the foundation for a massive score for the side with his skill set and temperament.

The player with the third most sixes for India in the T20I format is none other than legendary batter, Virat Kohli. Kohli, in his 125 T20I matches for India, struck 124 sixes at an average of 48.69, with a strike rate of 137.04, where he scored 4,188 runs, alongside 38 half-centuries and a century.

His innings in T20I cricket have often been single-handed, where he has driven India out of trouble not once, not twice, but on multiple occasions, most fondly against Pakistan in the 2022 T20 World Cup, and in the finale in 2024, where he helped India put a par score on the board against South Africa.

2) Suryakumar Yadav - 148 Sixes

Now, the number two player on this list is the current Indian T20I skipper, Suryakumar Yadav. Yadav has often done the job with his 360-degree style of play and unusual shots all over the ground that often take the bowlers by surprise. In 86 T20 matches for India, Yadav has struck 148 maximums, with 2,652 runs at an average of 39, with a strike rate of 166.37, alongside 21 half-centuries and four centuries to his name.

Surya, in this format, has been able to maximise his utility with 21 fifties and four-hundred-plus scores, which have taken India to some outstanding victories.

1) Rohit Sharma - 205 Sixes

Now, the player with the most maximums for India in the T20I format, and by far the number one batter for the Men in Blue in this format, is Rohit Sharma with a whopping 205 sixes so far. His prolonged T20I career, which concluded with the T20 World Cup 2024, saw him lead India to victory with his comprehensive captaincy and batting skills. Sharma, in the T20I format, played in 159 games, scoring 4,231 runs at an average of 32.05 while striking at 140.89.
