Australian swashbuckling all-rounder Marcus Stoinis has claimed the top spot in the ICC Men's T20I all-rounder rankings, surpassing Afghanistan’s Mohammad Nabi.

Known for his dynamic and game-changing performances, Stoinis has been a pivotal force for Australia in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024.

Stoinis's ascent to the number one ranking was propelled by his remarkable displays in the tournament. His stellar 59 off 29 balls against Scotland in the last group stage match, coupled with a superb bowling spell of 2/9 against Namibia, highlighted his all-round capabilities.

Stoinis has amassed 156 runs at a jaw-dropping average of 78 and a phenomenal strike rate of 190.24, the highest among the top 50 players.

Additionally, his effective off-cutters have secured him six wickets, proving instrumental in Australia's journey to the Super Eight stage.

With 231 rating points, Stoinis's consistent performances have dethroned Nabi, who has dropped to fourth place due to a lack of impactful contributions with the bat or ball.

Shakib Al Hasan’s crucial half-century against the Netherlands and wickets against Nepal have propelled him to the third position, while Wanindu Hasaranga's improved batting performances have moved him up to second place.

For India, Hardik Pandya has climbed to No. 7 in the rankings with seven wickets in three innings, showcasing his rising influence.
