Marcus Stoinis went berserk against Michael Leask as he turned the tide towards Australia when they required 89 from 42 balls against Scotland at Gros Islet on Saturday night.

During the run chase of 181 runs where Australia found themselves struggling for the most part of the chase, Stoinis wreaked havoc in the 14th over when he took on the off-spinner Michael Leask where he struck him for two consecutive sixes followed by a four.

At 13.4, the power-hitter timed a length ball outside off for a reverse sweep exquisitely over the backward point for a six. He dispatched the next ball at 13.5 over the long-off boundary for another six. The two sixes were followed up by another reverse sweep for a four at 13.6, in the same region where the first six went.

The Leask over went for 18 runs and the Aussies started their acceleration with another 71 required off 36.

The all-rounder, for the second time in this edition of the T20 World Cup, delivered a match-winning performance with the bat as he also claimed his second Player of The Match award for his 59 off 29 after the 67*(36) against Oman in a tricky situation.
