Indian stars Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav were all seen sweating it out in the nets for the tournament's second leg in the Caribbean part of the T20 World Cup 2024.

While Kuldeep is yet to make his mark in the tournament, Kohli and Jadeja, despite a challenging start, showed a solid resolve to bounce back during the practice session.

The opening batter failed to fire his bat; his scores in the three innings he played were 1, 4, and 0. On the other hand, Jadeja also had a torrid time in the field, as he neither scalped a single wicket, contributed with the bat, nor even grabbed a catch.

After a thorough warm-up, Kohli dedicated over 30 minutes to throw-downs before facing off against Kuldeep and Hardik Pandya. He was also seen honing his skills with some powerful shots over the extra cover and pull shots against Jasprit Bumrah. He was practiced slog sweeps, which the RCB batter aced in IPL 2024.

Just by his side in the adjacent nets was the Indian batting all-rounder, Jadeja, who was also seen bashing the bowlers hard in the nets.

On a positive note, the team looked in good touch during the practice training. Rishabh Pant too faced bowlers in the nets. Suryakumar Yadav, Shivam Dube and Yashasvi Jaiswal came in next lot to bat in the nets.

Even Arshdeep Singh and Mohammed Siraj practiced ruthlessly by nailing their bowling in the nets.

Now in their opening Super 8 fixture, India will meet Afghanistan at the Kensington Oval on 20 June (Thursday).
