[Watch] Ravichandran Ashwin Stuns Australia With A 'Massive' Wicket Of Cameron Green

Ravichandran Ashwin, one of the finest ever to play Test cricket for India, is showing his worth again in ODIs after bring out of the favour for most of the time in the format for last six years. He made a wild card entry into the Indian team, replacing injured Axar Patel. Now, in the opening game of World Cup 2023 between Australia and India at his beloved Chepauk, Ashwin is turning on the heat with a superb spell and got the big wicket of Cameron Green to put Australia in all sorts of trouble.

India are dominating the proceedings after losing the toss, and Australia elected to bat first on a dry pitch. Indian spinners were expected to make a big impact and they have done exactly that, with three spinners - Kuldeep Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin picking six wickets between them. Kuldeep Yadav and Jadeja did the damage early on and Ashwin got rid of the final hope for Aussies with a wicket of Cameron Green.

Talking about the ball that outfoxed Green, it was a shortish delivery, outside off. There was enough width for Cameron Green to cut it, and he did that decently. However, he failed to hit in the gap and smacked it directly into the hands of Hardik Pandya at point. He took the catch comfortably, and Australia were reduced to 140-7 in the 37th over.
