Kuldeep Yadav to return home from AUS T20Is to prepare for SA Tests
Ace Indian spinner Kuldeep Yadav has been excluded from the national squad from the remainder of the five-match T20I series against Australia ‘Down Under’. As per reports, the cricketer will be flying back home in India to prepare for the upcoming two-match Test series against the visiting South African team later this month. Kuldeep Yadav picked up two wickets in the second T20I of the series against Australia at the MCG late last month, before he was dropped from the subsequent game in Hobart on Sunday.
IPL 2026 mini auction to take place overseas: Report
The mini auction of the 2026 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will be taking place overseas, as reported by CricBuzz. Abu Dhabi in the UAE has emerged as one of the possible venues for the bidding event, which itself is likely to be organized in mid-December next month. Earlier this year, it was reported that the IPL 2026 mini auction will be hosted by India before plans seemingly took a detour, with the BCCI now eyeing an overseas setting to add a fresh twist to the league’s prelude.
Babar Azam “grateful” after T20I form return vs SA
Pakistan veteran Babar Azam belted 68 runs from 47 balls against South Africa to anchor his team’s comprehensive four-wicket win in the third T20I match at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium. Making his return to Pakistan T20I team after nearly a year through the series, Babar was dismissed for a duck in the first match, before finding form in the decider.
A day after the match, the legendary Pakistani batter took to social media and expressed his gratitude towards his fans for supporting him during his bad patch with the bat.
Karun Nair notches up double ton to continue Ranji Trophy run-spree
Karnataka’s Karun Nair notched up a significant double century against Kerala in their Elite Group B match of the 2025-26 Ranji Trophy season. Batting at number four, the cricketer resumed his innings on Day 2 at 174*, before charting 233 runs from 389 balls with 25 fours and two huge sixes as the domestic run-machine continues to knock on Indian selection doors. The innings also marked Karun Nair’s second successive 100-plus score this Ranji Trophy season after he was excluded from Team India squad for the home series against West Indies.
Kane Williamson retires from T20Is
Kane Williamson has announced his retirement from T20I cricket. The legendary New Zealand batter confirmed the same after opting out of his team’s recent T20I assignments. A veteran of 93 T20Is, Kane Williamson played the last of those games back in June 2024 during the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in the Caribbean. The prolific right-hander minted over 2,500 runs in the format at an average of 33.44 and with a strike rate of 123.08. Kane Williamson was also the captain of the New Zealand team that reached the final of the 2021 T20 World Cup in the UAE.
