The Abu Dhabi Knight Riders (ADKR) franchise has appointed West Indies all-rounder Jason Holder as their new captain for the upcoming 2025-26 edition of the International League T20 (ILT20) in the UAE. Holder will be replacing fellow West Indies all-rounder Sunil Narine for the high-profile role. Under the leadership of Narine, the ADKR franchise finished at the bottom of the ILT20 2025 points table earlier this year. The Knight Riders will face Sharjah Warriorz in their first match of the ILT20 2025-26 season on December 3 next month.
Karun Nair plunders second successive Ranji ton
Indian Test reject and domestic run-machine Karun Nair composed 142* runs from 251 balls with 14 boundaries and two sixes for Karnataka against Kerala in the Elite Group B match of the 2025-26 Ranji Trophy season. The innings marked his 26th first-class century, and his second in succession this tournament as the elegant right-hander continues to knock on selection doors amid his Team India Test snub. While Karun Nair made a brief return to the Indian team for a Test series earlier this year, the cricketer was excluded from the national squad for the home series against West Indies.
Rishabh Pant “fully recovered”, whacks 64* vs SA A
Rishabh Pant has declared himself fit and “fully recovered” from the injury he suffered in England a couple of months ago. The blistering wicketkeeper-batter even rained down a swift 64* from 81 balls against South Africa A bowlers on Day 3 of their four-day unofficial Test. Chasing 275 runs for a win, the India A captain clattered eight boundaries and two huge sixes in his innings to lift his team from 32-3 to 119-4 by stumps. The hosts require another 156 runs for a win with six wickets remaining in the game.
Rajasthan, Delhi Capitals to make Samson-Tristan Stubbs trade: Report
The Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals franchises are reportedly planning a player trade between Sanju Samson and Tristan Stubbs. As reported by the Times of India, Samson has already made his intentions clear of leaving the Royals camp. While the insider sources have stated that the Delhi Capitals franchise is willing to acquire to Royals skipper, they are unwilling to trade any of its core players. It is worth noting that Sanju Samson has been a part of the Royals camp since 2018. Interestingly, he also played a couple of seasons for Delhi back in 2016 and 2017.

Australia’s firebrand opener Travis Head is reportedly considering to withdraw from the final two T20Is of the ongoing five-match series against India. As reported by CodeSports, Head is likely to follow the footsteps of ace fast bowler and longtime teammate Josh Hazlewood, who is also rested from the second half of the T20I series against India to focus on Australia’s upcoming five-match Ashes Test series starting next month onwards against the visiting English team.
