Mumbai Indians (MI) will lock horns with Delhi Capitals (DC) in a crucial IPL 2025 match tonight at the iconic Wankhede Stadium. This game holds significant importance for both sides, considering they are still alive in the playoffs race. 

DC suffered a massive injury scare ahead of the all-important fixture against MI, with KL Rahul getting hit by a pacy delivery from Mukesh Kumar. As the batter left the nets in agonising pain, fans became curious to know about his availability for today's encounter.

Although KL Rahul quit the net session after getting hit, the batter apparently recovered from it in a rather quick time. As reported by TOI's Gaurav Gupta, KL Rahul's injury isn't serious and the batter will likely feature in the upcoming face-off against Mumbai Indians. 

Recently, DC made a bold change in their batting order, promoting KL Rahul to open the batting alongside Faf du Plessis. The Karnataka batter instantly made an impact, slamming a blistering century against Gujarat Titans, albeit in a losing cause. 

Interestingly, it was Rahul's second IPL ton that came in a losing cause. Having said that, the experienced batter also earned massive applause for his valiant batting effort.

KL Rahul has been exceptional with the bat in the IPL this season, stepping up for the franchise in crunch situations. With Du Plessis struggling with poor form and fitness concerns, Rahul's consistency has played a massive role in keeping the Capitals alive in the playoffs race. Overall, the batter has struck 493 runs across eleven innings and might be a game-changer for his side against MI tonight.
