In a massive positive for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), ace speedster Josh Hazlewood is all set to rejoin the squad for the remainder of IPL 2025. Notably, Hazlewood is currently in rehabilitating from a shoulder injury that sidelined him from RCB's group-stage clash against Chennai Super Kings. 

Hazlewood To Rejoin RCB For Playoffs By Sunday

According to Vishesh Roy from the Hindustan Times, Josh Hazlewood will likely rejoin RCB setup ahead of the first Qualifier. The veteran pacer is expected to link up with the rest of the RCB squad by May 25, Sunday. 

Hazlewood's career has been marred by multiple injury setbacks of late. The fast bowler sustained a calf strain that ruled him out of three Border-Gavaskar Trophy Tests as well as the Champions Trophy. 

He made a spectacular comeback through the IPL 2025, emerging as RCB's most valuable asset with the ball. However, an unfortunate shoulder injury further derailed his campaign, forcing him to take a break and rehabilitate at the Centre of Excellence in Brisbane. 

The fast bowler recently resumed bowling, as his intense net session against Sam Konstas went viral on social media. Now, with the reports of him returning to India for the IPL playoffs, RCB can take a sigh of relief ahead of the crucial fixtures. 

Hazlewood's Impact For RCB In IPL 2025

Josh Hazlewood was one of RCB's most expensive picks in last year's mega auction, with the franchise securing his services for a whopping amount of INR 12.5 Crores. He justified his selection with several impactful outings, scalping 18 wickets in ten innings before sustaining the shoulder injury.
