Abhishek Kumar Dalhor, the rising cricket star from Haryana, has taken another big step in his career by joining Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) as a net bowler for the IPL 2025 season. He first rose to fame while playing for Majhi Mumbai in the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL).

Kolkata Knight Riders, the defending champions, are in limbo this year, losing 3 of the 5 games played till now. In the last game, they challenged LSG in a 239-run chase. However, in a dramatic climax, Kolkata fell 4 runs short to endure a narrow defeat.

That being said, with many games still left to go in the season, KKR have made a notable addition to their bowling arsenal.

KKR Call Up ISPL Star Abhishek Dalhor

Abhishek Dalhor will be joining Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) as their net bowler for the remainder of the IPL 2025 season.

In the ISPL, which is a tennis-ball T10 cricket league, Abhishek stood out as one of the best players. He scored 324 runs and took 33 wickets in just 19 matches over two seasons. He was named the Player of the Tournament in Season 1 and Best Bowler in Season 2.

Abhishek hails from an Ambala-based middle-class family and began his cricketing career playing street cricket, as is the case with most young players in India. He participated in local-level tournaments and gradually progressed through the ranks.

His fortune turned when he was picked in the ISPL, which provided him with a platform to perform and gain recognition.

KKR’s Batting Order Blunder Sparks Fan Outrage

The Kolkata Knight Riders suffered a heartbreaking loss to the Lucknow Super Giants in a high-scoring contest at Eden Gardens, and fans are upset. In pursuit of a humongous 239, KKR lost by 4 runs, and the team's bizarre batting order choices became the biggest topic of discussion.

Sunil Narine gave KKR a quick start with 30 off 13 balls. But Instead of sending big hitters like Andre Russell and Rinku Singh early, KKR promoted Ramandeep Singh and Angkrish Raghuvanshi. Ramandeep scored only 1 run, and Raghuvanshi couldn’t do much either.

By the time Rinku came in at No. 8, the game slipped away. Even though he smashed an unbeaten 38 from just 15 balls, it wasn’t enough. Hence, fans slammed the team’s management and captain Ajinkya Rahane for the questionable calls.
