Jofra Archer was earning hard criticism after the first two matches. The English pacer was getting based on the social media for his expensive spells. But Archer is a class act and it was just as matter of time that he made a comeback.

It was from the CSK match, that Archer started finding his rhythm back. In the ongoing game between RR and GT in IPL 2025, Archer seems to have found the rhythm he is known for. The Royals' pacer was seen firing up the speed gun in the first match of the tournament. 

Shubman Gill Gets Bamboozled Jofra Archer

In the first over of the game, Archer was seen hitting the 150 mark on the speed gun and giving tough time to the batter. In the second over of his spell he bowled a stunner to get the wicket of Shubman Gill.

On very first delivery of the third over, Archer bowled a full delivery at the off stump line that seamed in ever so slightly. Shubman Gill tried to drive the ball but was beaten by the movement and the ball clattered onto the off and middle stump ending the stay of the GT opener.

Jofra Archer Predicted The Stunner 21 Months Ago

The speed gun showed that the English pacer clocked 147.7 kmph in the delivery. But strange is the fact that the bowler had predicted it one year earlier.

On July 28, 2023 Jofra Archer tweeted - 'That’s never missing the stumps'. The tweet is going viral now after he uprooted the stumps of Shubman Gill. The fact that he is able to predict incidents long before is once again in discussion among the fans.
