A lighthearted exchange between India's star pacers, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj, captured the hearts of fans during India’s first Test against Bangladesh. The amusing incident took place on Day 3 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

The incident took place during the 19th over of Bangladesh's second innings. Bumrah bowled a short ball down the leg side to opposition skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto. The batsman pulled the ball towards deep backward square leg, where Siraj was stationed. 

After making a stunning dive to save runs, Mohammed Siraj stood up and gestured that he couldn’t see the ball. Quick-witted as ever, Bumrah seized the opportunity to poke fun at his teammate, suggesting he put on the sunglasses resting at Siraj’s cap.

This moment came amidst a standout performance from Bumrah, who was the highest wicket-taker in Bangladesh's first innings with figures of 4 for 50, playing a key role in dismissing Bangladesh for 149. During this match, he became the tenth Indian bowler to reach the monumental milestone of 400 wickets in international cricket.

Bumrah reached this milestone by taking important wickets, including Shadman Islam and Mushfiqur Rahim, which confirmed his role as a leading bowler for India. In Bangladesh's second innings, he took 1 wicket and gave away 24 runs in 10 overs, maintaining a solid economy rate of 2.40.

In 196 international matches, Bumrah has taken 402 wickets at an average of 21.02. His performance in Test cricket is particularly noteworthy, with 164 wickets in 37 matches and best bowling figures of 6/27.
