Jason Roy Likely To Replace Injured Reece Topley In World Cup 2023

Team England have lost three of their first four matches and are having the worst times at this World Cup. They even lost against the underdogs, the Afghanistan team and that too by the margin of 69 runs. Now that Reece Topley has injured his finger, the team needs a replacement and Jason Roy is the name on everyone's mouth.

England had a terrible loss against the South African team in the last games as they lost by a hefty margin of 229 runs. The African bowlers rattled England's batting line-up as they were bowled out for just 170 runs while chasing a mammoth total of 400.

After this miserable defeat, Jason Roy is trending all over social media. Even Jason Roy's PSL team Quetta Gladiators took a dig at England's management to pick Jason Roy if they are looking to strengthen their batting line-up.

Jason Roy can be the X-factor player, Matthew Mott has hinted about:

After Reece Topley was ruled out with a finger injury, England are desperate for a replacement that can solve their woes and help them out in this tournament. Brydon Carse is the likely replacement for Topley, but considering England's batting performance, they need a batter who can turn things around for them. Jason Roy seems to be the perfect candidate because he is the one who can single-handedly win games for his team.

Roy was one of the chief architects of England's run to lift their maiden World Cup title in the previous edition. He scored 443 runs in just eight innings and was exceptional throughout the tournament. Matthew Mott said that they are looking if there's an X-factor player and it is believed it's none other than Roy
