[Watch] Adil Rashid Plays MS Dhoni's Helicopter Shot During SA-ENG Game

In the 20th game of the World Cup 2023, the defending champions, England, have lost against South Africa as they were outplayed and dominated the Proteas throughout the game. But Adil Rashid caught the attention of the fans as he played a brilliant helicopter shot against Gerald Coetzee. 

England have lost three out of the first four games and have not been playing up to their standards. Only Gus Atkinson and Mark Wood crossed the 20-run mark today as England was bowled out on just 170 runs while chasing a mammoth total of 400. Even the return of Ben Stokes could not help him get their second victory in the tournament. On the other hand, South Africa are playing as one of the strong contenders for the World Cup trophy.

We have seen Adil Rashid playing a few cameos for the England team, even in the longest format of the game. And today, he played a shot which reminded everyone of one of the greatest captains in the cricket world, MS Dhoni.

On this very ground, Wankhade Stadium, Mahendra Singh Dhoni smashed six and won the 2011 World Cup. And now Adil Rashid after 12 years played the trademark shot of MS Dhoni, the helicopter shot. Even though the ball did not go for boundary but the shot was enough to remind everyone of MS Dhoni. He managed to run for three as Aiden Markram managed to save it with a brilliant fielding effort. 

Jos Buttler's men will have to win every game from here on if they want to stay alive in the tournament. With just one win in eour games, they are at the second last spot of the points table.
