During the ongoing India versus New Zealand World Cup match in Dharamsala, team India's specialist sidearm thrower, Raghu, won the admiration of fans by going above and beyond to ensure the players' safety.

The high humidity levels caused the field's grass to become soft and wear out quickly, leading to it sticking to the players' shoe spikes and making their footwear heavy.

Raghu's proactive response was to take a brush in hand and rush around the ground, cleaning the players' shoes and preventing them from slipping due to the wet conditions. He particularly ensured Jasprit Bumrah's shoe spikes were spotless.

Using a brush to scrape away the slush from the shoe soles of Indian players allowed them to move freely on the damp outfield. Raghu's dedication extended to providing the players with water as well, making sure everything was in order to prevent any mishaps while bowling or fielding.

India, after winning the toss and choosing to bowl, put in a strong performance to limit New Zealand to a total of 273 runs. Daryl Mitchell secured his first World Cup century, supported by Rachin Ravindra's 75 runs. Mohammed Shami, in his comeback match, displayed exceptional bowling skills, claiming five wickets and holding the Kiwis to a total of less than 300.

With a modest target on the scoreboard and the likelihood of dew setting in later, India is the favorite to chase the total successfully, securing their fifth win of the tournament and taking the lead in the table.
