On Friday, November 15, the BCCI released the shortened list of players that will enter the auction table on November 24 and 25 in Jeddah. Notably, earlier, the Roger Binny-led board released a list featuring 1574 players, and it has now been shortened to 574 players.

The fans are excited and waiting for the mega-auction, and the board has finally announced the time at which the auction will be broadcast live on television and digital streaming channels.

IPL 2025 Mega-Auction To Start Late Than Usual

Notably, according to the circular shared by the BCCI, the live-streaming will begin at 3:00 PM IST and 12:30 PM local time in Jeddah on Sunday, November 24. It is worth noting that the auction will start later than usual because of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

The mega-auction will overlap with the Border-Gavaskar Trophy that starts on November 22 in Perth. Thus, to avoid broadcasting issues, the auction will start at 3:00 PM IST after stumps on day 3 of the first Test between India and Australia.

Revised Auction List Details

Out of the 574 Players, 366 are Indian while 208 are overseas, including 3 players from associate nations. The Auction will include 318 Indian uncapped players and 12 uncapped overseas players. 204 players will be bought by teams and the minimum base price has been set at 30 lakhs, while the highest base price has been 2 crores.

It is worth noting that out of the 574 players, 13-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi is the youngest player to go under the hammer in IPL 2025 auction, while, 42-year-old James Anderson is the oldest player. The auction is spread across two days and the time for the 2nd day of auction is yet to be known.
