On Monday, June 16, the BCCI took to social media to announce key changes to India’s U-19 squad set to tour England for a multi-format series later this month. The apex cricket board revealed that two key players have been ruled out of the tour due to injuries.
BCCI Names Key Replacements For Injured Stars
Notably, Aditya Rana and Khilan Patel will not travel to England. Rana sustained a stress fracture in his lower back, while Patel suffered a stress reaction in his right leg during the ongoing high-performance camp at the BCCI Centre of Excellence.
D. Deepesh and Naman Pushpak have been named as replacements after approval from the Junior Cricket Committee. It is worth noting that, even before the injuries to Aditya and Khilan, these two new additions were already at the camp as backup players, along with Vedant Trivedi, Vikalp Tiwari, and Alankrith Rapole.
Here is the updated squad:

Ayush Mhatre To Lead As India Eye History
This is a much-anticipated series, with the two teams set to play five Youth ODIs and two Youth Tests starting on June 24. CSK sensation Ayush Mhatre will lead the side after making a big impression during IPL 2025.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi is also in the squad and shone for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL. India’s bowling attack looks promising, with Pranav Raghavendra making headlines for clocking 147 kmph during the NCA camp in Bengaluru.
On the other hand, England Lions have also named a strong squad, which includes Rocky Flintoff, son of former England star Andrew Flintoff.
