The left-handed batter blasted deliveries in his trademark style over long on and mid-wicket initially, and then brought out his full range. He hit the ball over point and even danced down the track to assert his dominance. Thus, the batter looks in great touch and high on confidence, and we can expect him to make an impact in England. Here is the video of his latest exploits.
The Indian U19 team will travel to England for five unofficial ODIs and two four-day Tests. He is likely to open the batting line-up along with Ayush Mhatre, who will captain the side as well. Suryavanshi has dominated at the U19 level in the past, and scored 176 runs in five innings at an average of 44 in the U19 Asia Cup 2024.
The 14-year-old also played for the senior Bihar side in the last domestic season, and has already shown the world that he is ready to face the best of the bowlers in world cricket. He made his Ranji debut at the age of just 13 and is the youngest ever to do so. He also holds a record of being the youngest to score a century in youth cricket.
The IPL stint alongside the likes of Rahul Dravid, Sanju Samson and Yashasvi Jaiswal would have helped him improve his skills, and the results of the same are expected to be seen in England.
