India's Smriti Mandhana Rises To 3rd Place In Latest ICC ODI Rankings Following Majestic Ton

After smashing a brilliant century against South Africa in the first ODI of the three-match series, India's Smriti Mandhana has moved up two places to reach third position in the ICC batting rankings for ODIs. Smriti Mandhana is  the only Asian to be part of the Top 5 batters ranking in ODI & T20I.

Smriti Mandhana achieved her sixth ODI century during the first match against South Africa at Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, scoring 117 runs in the game.

Leading the Bengaluru-based WPL side, she capitalized on her knowledge of the conditions to play a stellar innings. Consequently, India women secured a commanding victory by 143 runs.

As a result of her stellar performance, the Indian vice-captain has climbed two spots to third position in the rankings, achieving a rating of 715 points.


Natalie Sciver Brunt is the Number 1 ODI batter in ICC rankings

Natalie Sciver, the English all-rounder and Mumbai Indians Women player, has ascended to the top position in the latest ICC rankings. 

She has surpassed Sri Lankan captain Chamari Athapaththu, who previously held the number one spot but slipped down due to her recent underperformance against West Indies.

Indian all-rounder Deepti Sharma has moved up two spots to reach the 20th position in the ICC batting rankings, while Pooja Vastrakar has climbed three places to 38th.

In the all-rounders list, Pooja Vastrakar has improved her ranking by four positions, reaching the 18th position overall.

In the ODI bowling rankings, Deepti Sharma gained one position and moved up to fourth place after impressive figures of 2/10 in the series opener.
