England veteran all-rounder Nat Sciver-Brunt has etched her name in cricketing history by clinching the prestigious Rachael Heyhoe Flint Award for the ICC Women's Cricketer of the Year for the second consecutive year.

Nat Sciver-Brunt fought a close battle with Sri Lanka's Chamari Athapaththu and the Australians Ash Gardner and Beth Mooney to claim the ultimate prize for the second successive year.

Sciver-Brunt's dream 2023

She scored a total of 895 runs this year and clipped nine wickets across a mere 18 games. Her notable contributions came in the Ashes and the Tests series against India, wherein she hit a half-century each.

However, Nat Sciver-Brunt once again established her dominance in ODI cricket. She slammed 393 runs with a healthy average of 131 across six games only. Notably, Nat hit three tons during her stint in the ODI format this year. With that, she's just one century behind England's national record jointly held by Tammy Beaumont and Charlotte Edwards.

After dominating the Test and ODI formats, Nat Sciver-Brunt unleashed her brilliance in a shorter format. The all-rounder ended up being the highest run scorer for England in the T20 World Cup, with 216 runs added to her tally.

During the pivotal tournament, she maintained a handsome strike rate of 141.17. Besides, Brunt picked up nine wickets in the tournament to scale new heights as an all-rounder.

Having said that, bagging two successive ICC Women's Cricketer of the Year awards is no minor achievement. As she continues to excel on the cricket field, Sciver-Brunt serves as an inspiration to aspiring cricketers around the world, especially young girls who aspire to follow in her footsteps.

Her grit, skill, and passion for the game exemplify the spirit of cricket and embody the values of sportsmanship and excellence.

Lastly, with her unparalleled talent and unwavering commitment to the sport, Nat Sciver-Brunt has rightfully earned her place among the elite of women's cricket.
