The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Tuesday announced the Player of the Month nominees for the month of October and unsurprisingly, no Indian player was nominated by them.

The three nominated stars are Pakistan's Noman Ali, South Africa's Kagiso Rabada and Kiwi star, Mitchell Santner.

Noman Ali

The Pakistan spinner produced a magical performance to dismantle the English batters as the home team came from behind to clinch the series, 2-1. In the first Test match at Multan, Pakistan lost the match after scoring more than 550-runs in the first innings as their bowlers toiled hard and allowed England to post above 800-runs.

As a result, PCB prepared a spinning deck for the last two Tests, and it allowed Noman to run riot against a team which lacks the technique to face quality spin. He scalped 20 wickets in just 2 Tests, at an average of 13.85.

He picked up two fifers in the series as the England batters failed to read the off-break bowler as Noman helped Pakistan win the series against the English side.

Kagiso Rabada

South Africa thrashed Bangladesh to win the Test series, 2-0, and a large amount of credit should go to Kagiso Rabada.

The right-arm seamer bagged two fifers in the series and scalped 14 wickets at 9.00. His best performance came in the second innings of the first Test, where he picked up a 6-fer to rattle the Bangladesh team.

As a result of his brilliant performance, Rabada dethroned Jasprit Bumrah to claim the top spot in the ICC rankings.

Mitch Santner

India prepared a rank turner for the 2nd Test in Pune and it backfired on them as Kiwi spinner was at his imperial best, picking up 13 wickets in the Test match as the visitors thrashed India to clinch the series.

In the first innnings, he took 7 wickets as India got bundled out for just 156. He came back to haunt the Indian batters once again in the second innings, with yet another fifer to etch his name in the history books.
