Day 4 of the ongoing second Test between India and Bangladesh finally saw some action after being marred by rain and unfit ground conditions for almost three days at Green Park Stadium, Kanpur.

After bundling out Bangladesh for 233 in their first innings, India clearly intended to push for a result in the limited time available. In a dazzling display of aggressive batting, India broke several records. The hosts registered the fastest team totals in Test cricket history and made a strong statement despite the challenging conditions.

India’s innings began with captain Rohit Sharma leading from the front in an explosive manner. In just 11 balls, Sharma blasted a quickfire 23, including a pair of consecutive sixes to get off the mark.

Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul followed suit and scored rapid half-centuries to extend India’s lead. Jaiswal, who has been in sensational form since his Test debut, played with controlled aggression, while Rahul unleashed a flurry of boundaries and took full advantage of the conditions.

Michael Vaughan’s ‘Bazball’ Jibe On India's Aggressive Start

The aggressive batting display drew the attention of former England cricketer Michael Vaughan, who took to social media to comment on India’s approach.

In a tweet on X (formerly Twitter), Vaughan remarked, “I see India are playing Bazball,” drawing a parallel to England’s recent Test cricket revolution under captain Ben Stokes and coach Brendon McCullum.

What Did Michael Vaughan Tweet?

England’s ‘Bazball’ approach has been characterized by its fearless and aggressive batting style, where they have focused on playing attacking cricket, even in the traditionally slow-paced Test format. Vaughan’s comment implied that India was now following England’s aggressive template in Test matches.

However, the comment quickly ignited a debate among fans, mainly Indian cricket supporters, many of whom had a different take on Vaughan’s observation. In this article, let's take a look at the few Twitter reactions to this comment from Vaughan.

As the Test match heads into the final day, India’s bold approach has injected excitement into what could have been a dreary, rain-affected draw. With more than two days lost to weather and unfit conditions, India has shown intent to force a result, setting up a mouthwatering finale.
