As Afghanistan gears up for their third appearance in the Cricket World Cup, their main objective is clear. They possess the remarkable opportunity for Afghanistan to display their cricketing skills on the global stage and make their country proud.

Afghanistan's World Cup campaign will begin with a match against Bangladesh in Dharamsala on October 7. Subsequently, they will face India and England in New Delhi on October 11 and 15 respectively. On October 23, they will clash with Pakistan in Chennai, followed by a match against Australia in Mumbai on November 7. Their final match in the league stage will be against South Africa on November 10 in Ahmedabad.

The tournament features a total of 10 teams, with eight teams having already secured direct qualification. The remaining two spots will be determined through the ICC World Cup Qualifiers in Zimbabwe. Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, West Indies, Netherlands, and Scotland are the main contenders vying for those coveted places in this highly anticipated event hosted in India.

Afghanistan's Itinerary

Despite the challenges they may face, the team maintains unity and possesses the skills to create unexpected outcomes. Although it may be difficult to secure a spot in the World Cup semi-finals, it is crucial to acknowledge that cricket is a sport where anything can happen.
