ICC Awards 2024: Complete Schedule Revealed As India Stars Eye Big Prize

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has unveiled the entire schedule for the announcement of the ICC Awards 2024. Earlier this month, the apex body revealed all nominees under different categories, which included Indian speedster Jasprit Bumrah, Australian firebrand batter Travis Head and senior Englishman Joe Root battling out for the ‘ICC Cricketer of the Year’ award.

ICC unveils Award announcement schedule

On Thursday, January 23, the ICC unveiled the complete schedule of the announcement of the ICC Awards 2024. As per the schedule, the winners of three different categories will be announced on Friday, January 24.

Here is a look at the entire ICC Awards 2024 announcement schedule:

Friday, January 24:

  • Men’s ODI Team of the Year
  • Women’s ODI Team of the Year
  • Men’s Test Team of the Year

Saturday, January 25:

  • Women’s T20I Team of the Year
  • Men’s T20I Team of the Year
  • ICC Men’s T20I Cricketer of the Year
  • ICC Women’s T20I Cricketer of the Year

Sunday, January 26:

  • ICC Umpire of the Year
  • ICC Men’s Associate Cricketer of the Year
  • ICC Women’s Associate Cricketer of the Year
  • ICC Emerging Men’s Cricketer of the Year
  • ICC Emerging Women’s Cricketer of the Year

Monday, January 27:

  • ICC Men’s ODI Cricketer of the Year
  • ICC Women’s ODI Cricketer of the Year
  • ICC Men’s Test Cricketer of the Year

Tuesday, January 28:

  • Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy for ICC Women’s Cricketer of the Year
  • Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy for ICC Men’s Cricketer of the Year

As per the schedule, the announcement of the ICC Awards 2024 will be made across five days between January 24 and January 28. The apex body reserved the January 28 date for announcing two of its biggest awards: the ICC Women’s Cricketer of the Year and the ICC Men’s Cricketer of the Year award.

Players like Jasprit Bumrah, Travis Head and Englishmen Harry Brook and Joe Root are competing for the ICC Men’s Cricketer of the Year award. In the women’s category, the ICC announced Chamari Athapaththu, Amelia Kerr, Annabel Sutherland and Laura Wolvaardt as the four nominees.
