The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) extended warm birthday wishes to young leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi, who turned 24 today. A promising talent in Indian cricket, Bishnoi braces himself for what could turn out to be a stellar career.

Born on September 5, 2000, Ravi Bishnoi first grabbed the limelight with his standout performances in the 2020 ICC U-19 World Cup, where he ended as the tournament's leading wicket-taker.

Soon after, he made his way into the IPL, representing teams like Punjab Kings, Rajasthan Royals and Lucknow Super Giants.

The spinner eventually transitioned into the international set up and became a regular face in India's T20I team. Bishnoi was even crowned no.1 T20I bowler in ICC World Rankings for a while.

That being said, the BCCI, acknowledging his contributions and potential, took to social media to celebrate the young cricketer's journey so far on the eve of his birthday.

In the series opener, Bishnoi claimed a four-wicket-haul his quota of four overs and his 4/13 figures ended up being his T20I career best.

Not only that, Ravi Bishnoi now has 48 wickets in the shorter format across 32 games played.
