T20 cricket is the newest format of international cricket. The best part of this format that it has kept evolving from its inception. The dynamism and flexibility of this format has over the years produced some classic games. 

In the current scenario, the game has evolved to the stage where it demands players who can take the attack to the opposition from the very beginning. This is due to the ushering in of newer players, who are more or less born in and after 2000, i.e., in this century. Looking at the performance of these players who have changed the T20 horizon, here is a look at the Best T20 XI of players who are born in this century.

Openers

The Indian left-handed opener, Yashashvi Jaiswal (28th December, 2001) has proved himself as an opener in the highest level of the game. He has been a very dynamic batter and has proven himself to be the perfect new age opener.

The young Australian opener, Jake Frase-McGurk (11th April, 2002), grabbed attention with his aggressive and dynamic batting during the IPL 2024. JFM is also one of those new batters who can take the game away from the opposition in a matter of deliveries. 

Middle Order

The Afghan opener, Rahmanullah Gurbaz (28th November, 2001) is a very consistent batter. He is a stable run-scorer and with Jaiswal and Fraser-McGurk opening, Gurbaz can be a perfect number three in this side.

The young Pakistani batter, Saim Ayub (24th May, 2002) has made his name for batting in the top-order in the PSL. Looking at the strength and dynamism of the top-order Ayub will be a perfect four.

The South African middle-order batter, Tristan Stubbs (14th August, 2000), has proven himself as a dynamic middle-order batter. Stubbs presence will add depth and flexibility to this batting line-up.

Lower Middle-Order

The South African all-rounder, Marco Jansen (1st May, 2000) can be a lethal bowler especially with the new cherry. He can also be an effective batter lower down the order, making him a perfect utility player for the team.

Spinners

Ravi Bishnoi and Noor Ahmad 

The Indian wrist spinner, Ravi Bishnoi (5th September, 2000) has already proven himself as an integral part of the Indian T20I setup. He has been doing a great job in the format and will be an important choice in this team. 

The left-arm wrist spinner, Noor Ahmad (3 January, 2005) has given proof of his talent and skill in the T20Is and also in the leagues. The presence of the Afghan bowler will bring about variety and flexibility in the bowling attack, especially the spin department.

Pacers

Naseem Shah and Shaheen Shah Afridi

Naseem Shah (15th February, 2003) and Shaheen Shah Afridi (6th April, 2000) have worked as first bowling pair for their national team. With the diversity and flexibility they have as bowlers, the Shaheen and Naseem pair will be a very important part of this team.

12th Man

Azmatullah Omarzai

The Afghan all-rounder has been an integral part of his team with his valuable performances with both the bat and the ball. Azmatullah Omarzai (24th March, 2000) could be a great 12th man for the team as he can be used as per the conditions adding more dynamism and flexibility to the team.
