Priyank Panchal, former Gujarat captain and India A skipper, has announced his retirement from all forms of cricket on his official Instagram account with immediate effect. Later, the Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA) also confirmed his retirement.
Interestingly, the 35-year-old opener, renowned for his prolific domestic career spanning 17 years, bid farewell on May 26, 2025, closing a chapter marked by consistent run-scoring and leadership.
Panchal Emotionally Announces His Retirement
In an emotional note on his Instagram account, Panchal wrote, "I, Priyank Panchal, announce my retirement from first-class cricket with immediate effect. It’s an emotional moment. It’s an enriching moment, and it’s a moment which fills me with a lot of gratitude.”
Panchal amassed 8,856 runs in 127 First-Class matches at an average of 45.18, including 29 centuries and 34 fifties.
