The Indian players are all pumped up for the upcoming World Cup. They have clinched the ODI series against Australia by winning the first two games. Shubman Gill is enjoying his purple patch in international cricket having scored five hundreds already in this calendar year.

The team will head to the World Cup after this game and will be playing a couple of warm-up games ahead of their first World Cup game on the 8th of October, which is against the Australian team only. So the management has decided to rest a few players for the third game to keep them fresh for the big tournament.

On the other hand, the Aussies are not having a good time in this format lately. They have lost their last five ODIs on the trot. It was a great opportunity for the Aussies to get familiar with the conditions but the Indian players got the best of them.

The senior players of the Indian team, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya and Kuldeep Yadav were rested for the first two games and now they are back or the final game, which will be taking place tomorrow at Rajkot.

Here the players who have not travelled to Rajkot

Shubman Gill, who had an enough game time ahead of the World Cup, has been rested for the third ODI. While Hardik Pandya will also miss the third ODI. Axar Patel, who was injured is expected to be back by the warm-up games.

Mohammed Shami and Shardul Thakur have been rested as well for the last game. However, Ruturaj, Tilak and others who were a part of the Asian Games have left the squad and Washington Sundar will also join them after the third game.
