Australia's cricket team received a much-needed boost ahead of the third One-Day International (ODI) against India, as two key players, Glenn Maxwell and Mitchell Starc, returned to the squad.

Starc had been sidelined due to a shoulder injury sustained during the Ashes series, which also kept him out of Australia's tour of South Africa. Unfortunately, another injury, this time to his groin, had forced him to miss the first two ODIs against India. His return will bolster Australia's bowling attack and add depth to their lineup.

Similarly, Australia missed the dynamic all-rounder Glenn Maxwell, who had been nursing an ankle injury. However, Maxwell's participation in a net session on the eve of the third ODI signaled positive signs for his recovery. His potential return to full fitness is a significant boost for the Australian team, as his explosive batting and handy off-spin could prove to be game-changers in the upcoming matches.

The series has not gone Australia's way so far, with India winning the first two ODIs. However, for the third ODI, India will welcome back their heavyweights, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Jasprit Bumrah, who were rested in the initial matches. This sets the stage for an intense battle between two cricketing powerhouses.

The return of Starc and Maxwell adds excitement to the contest, making it even more intriguing. As both teams prepare for the upcoming quadrennial event, these ODIs provide an excellent opportunity for players to fine-tune their skills and combinations. Cricket fans can expect an exciting clash in Rajkot as Australia looks to make a comeback, while India aims to maintain its winning streak.

If India wins tomorrow's game against Australia it would be the first time that they would whitewash them in ODIs.
