Pakistan Super League (PSL), like other events, is a much-celebrated tournament in the cricketing world that happens on an annual basis in Pakistan, with some of the best players representing six teams from Pakistan. The tournament is held right before the Indian Premier League (IPL), which starts in March every year.

Just like every year, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has revealed the plans for the six-team tournament that will see no addition of teams after consultation with all the members and stakeholders of the league, including the franchises.

The meeting that was held at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore saw PCB Management Committee Chairman Zaka Ashraf chairing the meeting of the PSL Governing Council and taking some crucial decisions concerning the league.

Another crucial resolution taken at the meeting was the tentative window for the ninth edition of the league, which is likely to be played between 8th February and 24th March 2024, with the final decision to be made during the next meet.

Adding to this, the committee has mentioned that they are exploring the chance to host the women's league or exhibition matches like they were held last year.

Further, PCB has ensured that they are looking at alternative venues for the league to be held, as previously only four venues have witnessed the action.

In the end, the discussion occurred regarding the tender process of digital, media rights and other commercial assets.
