Babar Azam is in sublime form ahead of the World Cup 2023. He smashed 151 against Nepal in the opening game of the Asia Cup 2023. Although he could not continue to perform like that throughout the tournament, but the level of his class shows that he will be one of the top performers in the upcoming World Cup.

Mohammad Asif, Pakistan's former fast bowler said a few things against Babar, which has stunned the netizens. Babar's fans are all over this controversy and bringing up the allegations of fixing against Asif.

A few days back, Mohammad Asif said that he could still bowl a maiden over against Babar in a T20 game. To which Babar's fans are going crazy all over the internet. And now, Babar Azam's father, Azam Siddiqui has said a few things in response to Asif's statement.

Here's what Babar's father said:

Babar Azam's father wrote a note in response to Mohammad Asif's statement. Through his note, it seems that Babar and Asif had a good relationship as Asif asked the management to select Babar after seeing his performance.

"Babar Azam scored 84 runs and hit 11 fours against Mohammad Asif's team when he was playing U16 cricket. Babar was disappointed as Asif said something to him after getting him out. Mohammad Asif saw Babar Azam in ZTBL trials and asked the management to select him after his performance of 84 runs. Babar Azam will play a maiden over out of respect against Mohammad Asif. Urged fans to not go overboard or be emotional, and to not say bad words about Asif."

His father also urged the fans not to spread hate towards the former cricketer and don't get emotional over this. Babar Azam will be leading the Pakistan team in the World Cup 2023 in the coming days.
