In a heartwarming exchange, star spinner Kuldeep Yadav of India and Netherlands all-rounder Logan van Beek swapped jerseys after the conclusion of the last league match of the 2023 World Cup at Bengaluru's M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Earlier in the game, Kuldeep showcased his prowess by outfoxing Van Beek, dismissing the Dutch cricketer for 16 runs in 15 balls. As it marked Netherlands' final match in the World Cup, the Dutch players seized the opportunity to interact with the Indian team on the field and in the dressing room. This special moment allowed the Dutch cricketers to gain insights and share the frame with cricketing luminaries such as Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, and Kuldeep Yadav.

Taking to Instagram, Van Beek shared a photo of the jersey exchange, expressing camaraderie by playfully remarking, "@kuldeep_18 4 for 4 not next time!"

For Kuldeep and Team India, the night was memorable as they secured their ninth consecutive win in the tournament, setting a formidable total of 410 runs in fifty overs, fueled by brilliant centuries from Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul. In a surprising turn, Netherlands displayed resilience but fell short of the target by 160 runs. Kuldeep played a crucial role in defending the total, securing two wickets in his ten overs.

Conversely, it was a challenging night for Van Beek, marking the most expensive figures of his ODI career - 107 runs in 10 overs. Nevertheless, his overall performance in the World Cup was commendable, contributing 140 runs with a highest score of 59 and claiming 12 wickets in eight out of nine matches.

As the 2023 World Cup concluded, the Netherlands found themselves at the bottom of the points table with two wins and seven losses. Despite notable victories against South Africa and Bangladesh, their relative lack of experience and difficulty handling pressure were evident in most games against stronger opponents.
