On Thursday, July 11, Sri Lankan Cricket released the official schedule for the upcoming multi-format tour against India.

As reported earlier, the series will not begin on July 27, rather it is all set to commence on July 26. The upcoming tour will also mark the first assignment of India's newly appointed head coach Gautam Gambhir.

Sri Lanka Cricket posted a press release, where they mentioned that the Indian side would leave for the Island Nation On July 22.

Firstly, there will be three T20Is, followed by three ODIs. Here is the complete schedule for the upcoming multi-format tour.

There are reports that BCCI would rest Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Jasprit Bumrah, and the same reports hinted at KL Rahul leading the side in the hitman's absence.

However, there is a suspense over who will lead the T20I side as Hardik Pandya is likely to be rested for this series.

As Gambhir is set to kickstart his international coaching career, Sri Lanka will also have a new coach in the dressing room with veteran Sanath Jayasuriya roped in as interim head coach for the Island Nation.
