After leaving international cricket behind , Australian explosive opening batter David Warner has decided to feature in the Zim Afro T10 league. He will represent Bulawayo Braves Jaguars for the second edition of the T10 tournament.

The Zim Afro T10 League, launched in Zimbabwe as the first T10 format competition in the country, is renewed for a second season. The league aims to popularise the shortest format of the game in Africa, providing a platform for local and international cricketers to showcase their skills.

Meanwhile, ahead of the September 8 draft, 6 teams picked their icon and global stars as direct signings. 

David Warner to be seen in Zim Afro T10 League next!

Bulawayo Braves Jaguars signed veteran Australian batting specialist David Warner, along with Carlos Brathwaite, Nick Hobson and Kobe Herft.

With his vast experience across all formats of the game, Warner's presence will not only elevate the standard of the competition but also draw considerable attention from fans worldwide. 

David Warner called time on his international career after Australia's 2024 T20 World Cup group stages exit. Hence, his full-time transition into franchise leagues was on the cards. 

Additionally, Warner's presence is a great for the endorsement of the league. He is expected to inspire a new generation of Zimbabwean cricketers, providing them with the exposure and experience needed to compete at higher levels.

David Warner Commits To BBL Full-Time

Meanwhile, David Warner signed a two-year extension deal with Sydney Thunder and will last in the Big Bash League for an entire season for the first time in his extensive career. 

BBL always clashes with the international schedule. Hence, Warner wasn't able to commit full-time. However, after retirement from international cricket, Warner is set to play Big Bash full-time.
