In the latest development, David Warner has committed to playing his first full Big Bash League (BBL) season with the Sydney Thunder.

After retiring from international cricket earlier this year, Warner has signed a two-year deal with the Thunder and ensured his availability for the entire BBL-14 season.

This significant news marks a major boost for the Thunder as well as for the league overall. David Warner has been a key figure for them since his BBL debut in 2011, where he made history by scoring the team's first century.

David Warner's Journey With Sydney Thunder

Over his limited appearances, David Warner has been a consistent performer, with 301 runs in ten matches at an average of 37.62 and a strike rate of 135.58. The experience and aggressive batting will be pivotal for the Thunder as they aim for success.

Warner will be joined by other key players like England's Sam Billings, rising talent Ollie Davies, and his former Test opening partner Cameron Bancroft, making the Sydney Thunder a formidable side in the upcoming season.

His full-season availability, a rarity in previous years due to his national commitments, adds significant value to the team and enhances the excitement surrounding the BBL this year.
