Josh Inglis Goes Past Virat Kohli And David  Warner With A Sublime T20I Hundred Vs Scotland

In a remarkable achievement, Australia's explosive batter Josh Inglis hammered a scintillating hundred in the ongoing T20I against Scotland at Grange Cricket Club in Edinburgh. Coming at three, Inglis smashed 103 runs off just 49 deliveries, ensuring a formidable total for his side in this crucial face-off.

After Scotland skipper Richie Berrington won the toss and opted to bowl, Brad Currie drew the first blood for the home team, outfoxing Travis Head with a ripper. Head, who struck a breezy knock in the last game, was castled by an absolute peach from Currie. Jake Fraser-McGurk, who starred with the bat for Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2024, also couldn't contribute much, becoming Currie's second victim.

However, Josh Inglis steadied the ship for Australia after the early jitters. The swashbuckling keeper-batter adopted a counterattacking approach to stun Scotland with his 360-degree stroke play.

He took on the home team right from the beginning, completing a sublime ton in this process. It was his second century, as he surpassed talismanic batters David Warner and Virat Kohli, equalling Aaron Finch for the most T20I hundreds

Australia post a mammoth total in 2nd T20I vs Scotland

Riding on Inglis' spectacular century and valuable cameos from Green, Marcus Stoinis, and Tim David, Australia powered themselves to a formidable 196-run total in the penultimate affair versus Scotland. Despite losing two early wickets, Australia's remarkable fightback yet again showcased their ability to bounce back from adverse situations.

As of writing, Scotland was twelve for no loss in 0.4 overs, chasing 197. Having lost the first T20I, the hosts must win this game to stay alive in the series.
