On 25 June 2024, during a bright, sunny morning, Aussie legend David Warner's 15-year cricketing career ended after Australia's unforeseen exit from the T20 World Cup 2024. He made his final appearance during the IND vs AUS clash, where he scored six runs from six deliveries.

Unarguably, Warner is one of Australia's finest products ever. He is Australia's leading run-scorer for T20 cricket, with 3,277 from 110 games.

With a career that has had unimaginable lows and the highest of highs, Warner has made everyone believe that there are no fairytale endings; instead, it's the journey matters the most.

Numerous players went by, but Warner's top-gun fielding and dangerous hard-hitting abilities made him an essential element of Australia's national cricket team.

Although he previously announced his retirement from ODI and Test cricket, the 2024 T20 WC was said to be his last. However, Warner has remained available should his nation need his services for the 2025 Champion Trophy.

In his 112-Test career, he has amassed 8,786 runs at an average of 44.60, with a strike rate of 70.19. Adding to this are his one-day shenanigans, where he has scored 6,932 runs from 161 matches.

As one of the greatest cricketers from Australia retires, it's time we bid adieu to a career that has left an indelible mark on the sport!
