Rachin Ravindra, and Amelia Kerr, the rising stars of New Zealand cricket, were honoured at the New Zealand Cricket Awards in Christchurch for their remarkable achievements and impactful displays across all forms of the game.

Ravindra, aged 24, made history as the youngest recipient of the Sir Richard Hadlee Medal, while Kerr celebrated her second consecutive win of the Debbie Hockley Medal.

Adding to her accolades, Kerr also swept the ODI and T20I Player of the Year awards.

Kane Williamson, having scored his 32nd Test hundred recently, was named the Test Player of the Year. Daryl Mitchell took home the Men's ODI Player of the Year honour, with Mitchell Santner grabbing the corresponding T20I accolade.

It was a smashing year for Rachin Ravindra in cricket. He tied with Kane Williamson's 2019 World Cup score, hitting 578 runs in 2023, then went on to knock a stellar 240 against South Africa in the first Test, playing a crucial part in New Zealand's first-ever Test series win over them.

Meanwhile, Kerr stood out as the top ODI run-getter, amassing 541 runs at an impressive average of 67. Additionally, she shared the title of leading T20 wicket-taker and ranked as the second-highest T20I scorer for her squad.

While Rachin Ravindra gears up to hit the field for Chennai Super Kings in the upcoming Indian Premier League 2024 season, Amelia Kerr is currently making her mark with Mumbai Indians women in the Women's Premier League 2024 season.
