The BCCI announced the partial schedule for the upcoming IPL 2024 season earlier today. Due to the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections in the country, the board released the schedule for the first 21 matches.
Once election dates are out, the cricket board and concerned authorities will make a final call on the remainder of the tournament.
Chennai Super Kings IPL Schedule 2024 Phase 1
That being said, the season opener of the blockbuster event will be played between defending champions Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on the 22nd of March.
CSK will take the field under the leadership of fan-favourite MS Dhoni. Notably, the 2024 season is widely considered to be Dhoni’s final stint in the yellow. However, regardless, CSK will look to finish on a high if it indeed is MS’ last year.
After the home game against RCB, CSK will host last year’s runners-up, Gujarat Titans, on the 26th of March. Post that, the Super Kings will be on the move and face Delhi Capitals in Vizag on the same weekend. Due to some issues with the Arun Jaitley Stadium, DC will play the initial couple of games at a different venue.

The next game is scheduled at Hyderabad against the Sunrisers Hyderabad on the 5th of April.
