The acquisition of Mitchell Starc for a staggering 24.75 crores during the IPL 2024 auction signals their aggressive intent. KKR's initial matches include encounters with RCB and Delhi Capitals, after their opener against SRH. Notably, the Kolkata-based franchise faces a compact schedule, with just three matches in the first 15 days of the Indian Premier League. 

The announcement of the initial schedule precedes the full unveiling, pending the Election Commission of India's decision regarding General Election dates. With the return of regular captain Shreyas Iyer, who missed the previous season due to injury, KKR aims for a strong comeback after finishing seventh in IPL 2023 under Nitish Rana's leadership.
