Champions Trophy 2025: Story So Far

Pakistan will host the prestigious fifty-over event next year from February 119. There are doubts over India's participation as the two teams have not played a bilateral series against each other since 2012 because of geo-political issues. The reports have mentioned that the BCCI is not interested in sending an Indian team to Pakistan because of safety concerns.

Also, there were rumours of the Indian board asking for a hybrid model similar to Asia Cup 2022, but no official talks has been initiated by the two boards over these matters. While, Pakistan are busy preparing for the Champions Trophy 2025.

During their visit on September 20, the team met with the Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Mohsin Naqvi and expressed satisfaction, assuring that the security protocols and upgrades at these venues meet the required standards for the Champions Trophy 2025. Meanwhile, Jay Shah and Mohsin Naqvi are set to have a meeting in Dubai soon.
