An inspection team from the International Cricket Council (ICC) arrived at Gaddafi Stadium on Saturday to review the arrangements for the 2025 Champions Trophy. Earlier this week, the team visited other potential venues for the event, including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and Karachi.

During their visit on September 20, the team met with the Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Mohsin Naqvi. After evaluating security measures and other arrangements for the second inspection, the team expressed satisfaction, assuring that the security protocols and upgrades at these venues met the required standards for the Champions Trophy 2025.

The team also received a comprehensive update on major renovation work at Gaddafi Stadium, where most of the refurbishments are being carried out. Additionally, they assessed practice facilities at the National Cricket Academy and the LCCA Ground. Discussions with PCB officials covered the security of the teams, travel routes, hotel arrangements, and broadcasting plans.

The delegation, which included key figures such as Sarah Edgar, Senior Manager of Events, and Wasim Khan, General Manager of Cricket, has now completed its evaluation of all potential venues. The next step involves returning to Dubai to present their findings.
