On Monday, June 9, the BCCI dropped a video of Team India's second training session in London. The new-looking squad, led by Shubman Gill, is sweating hard in the nets, and the clip highlighted the key aspects of training.

India's new captain Gill, and his deputy, Rishabh Pant, engaged in a chat during the training, weaving plans for the big series as the visitors eye their first-ever series win in England since 2007.

Further, Pant also engaged in a conversation with Sai Sudharsan, who earned his maiden India Test call-up after a successful IPL and domestic season. He although, faces competition from Karun Nair, who had a better domestic circuit than the GT star.

Captain Gill And Pant Look In Good Touch

Shubman Gill hit the nets and faced the frontline bowlers. The right-handed batter looked in great touch and was timing the ball sweetly. Further, Rishabh Pant also shrugged off injury concerns and tonked the balls for sixes in the training.

Notably, the southpaw, who was hit on his arm in the first training session, hogged the limelight as one of his shots off Washington Sundar's bowling landed on the roof and damaged the tiles. Watch the training here.

Jasprit Bumrah too looked in great rhythm in the training session as the MI star tested his yorkers, while Mohammed Siraj and Arshdeep Singh also had fun bowling with the red-hot cherry in overcast conditions. The clip also featured Kuldeep Yadav troubling the batters with his mystery bowling. Ravindra Jadeja also looked confident as he practised off-spin.

At present, team India are undergoing a ten-day camp and as per Shubman Gill's presser before leaving for England, a decision on the playing XI for the first Test will be taken after this camp.
