Swashbuckling batter Rishabh Pant survived an injury scare after receiving a nasty blow to his left arm during India's first training session ahead of the Test series opener against England. Led by Shubman Gill, the Indian players had their first hit out at nets in order to prepare for the high-voltage Test series against the Englishmen. While the players were involved in intense training, Rishabh Pant received a blow to his left arm while batting.

Newly appointed captain Shubman Gill and head coach Gautam Gambhir led the pack as team India recently touched down in England for the highly-anticipated Test series. The players underwent a rigorous training session on Sunday, marking their first outing in nets after reaching the European nation.
Explosive batter Rishabh Pant was also among the star Indian players who trained hard at the cricket ground in Beckenham in order to fine-tune their red-ball game before the first Test at Headingley.
However, in a development that could concern the Indian team as well as its fans, Pant nearly sustained an injury after receiving a blow to his left arm while batting, as reported by RevSportz.
As soon as the southpaw was struck on his arm, he complained of serious pain, with the team doctor treating him with an ice pack. Pant also got his left arm bandaged and didn't take part in the remainder of the training session, focusing on recovery instead.
But fortunately for India, the batter's injury wasn't severe and he clarified that he was fine while leaving the ground.
