In the latest reports circulating, ace pacer, Jasprit Bumrah is set to be ignored for the Bangladesh Tests, starting next month.

As per a report by Express Sports, Bumrah's break has been extended, and the pacer will most likely be seen in action against New Zealand in the Test series.

BCCI comes up with master-plan for Bumrah

Team India's schedule for the next few months are quite hectic, with the New Zealand series, Border-Gavaskar Trophy and Champions Trophy coming up. The Rohit Sharma led side are already on top of the World Test Championship (WTC) table, and with gruelling series against the Kiwis and Australia coming up, BCCI wants to give ample rest to their star bowler.

The Indian side are a master team in their own backyard, and are expected to win the series, rather easily against Bangladesh. However, the tougher challenge lies against Australia Down Under. India will play 5-Test matches, which could potentially decide the WTC 2023-25 finalists.

As a result, the team management wants Bumrah to be fit and raring to go for the series. Talking about Team India, the players are set to play Duleep Trophy games ahead of the Bangladesh Tests.

Captain Rohit, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, are all set to feature in the premium domestic tournament.
