The Manchester Originals needed a strong finish after an early assault from Phil Salt, and that shift in momentum was provided by Jamie Overton, who ended the innings with a six that went out of the ground as the ball was lost.

Potts, bowling the last over pitched a length ball on the stumps, and Overton was ready for the big swing of the bat as he cleared the field with utmost ease and sent the ball into the night sky for a massive six.

Alongside Thomas Aspinwall, he helped the Originals score 152 on the board. Earlier in the innings, it was the Phil Salt carnage which propelled his side to a decent total. He smacked a 17-ball fifty and was eventually dismissed for a well-compiled 28-ball 61.

The Originals are at the second last position in the points table, with just a solitary win under their belt.
