Bangladesh Women are set to tour India for a white-ball series in mid-December as part of the ICC Future Tours Programme (FTP). Although the news has been confirmed by a BCB official, the dates of the same have not been finalised yet.

BCB official shares tentative India tour plan

Reportedly, Bangladesh women will come to India to play a white-ball series, comprising three ODIs and three T20Is. As informed by a Bangladesh Cricket Board official to Cricbuzz on Thursday, the series is expected to be played in the middle of December 2025. The ODI leg of the series will mark the beginning of the new cycle of the ICC Women’s ODI Championship for both sides. The entire white-ball series will be part of the ICC Future Tours Programme (FTP).

"We are expected to leave on December 14 or 15 for the tour as per the proposed draft that is yet to be finalized by both boards, but we have been asked (by the hosts) to prepare for the series keeping that date in mind," said a BCB official involved in the planning.

The itinerary is to be finalised yet, but the matches are expected to be played in Kolkata and Cuttack. The discussions between the two boards are in progress.

Bangladesh captain to miss NCL following fitness issue

Bangladesh are out of the ongoing World Cup already as India are gearing up for the final against South Africa. In the ICC Women’s World Cup, Bangladesh managed to win just one out of seven matches to finish at seventh out of eight teams. On the other hand, India beat Australia to make it to their third ODI World Cup final.

As far as the Bangladesh women's team is concerned, Bangladesh captain Nigar Sultana already announced that she would be skipping the upcoming National Cricket League to focus on her fitness. Reports suggest that left-arm spinner Nahida Akter and pacer Marufa Akter will also miss the tournament. Nahida picked up an injury during the ongoing ODI World Cup, and Marufa would take a break from the workload of the tournament.
