In a significant development, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has received approval from the government to proceed with its upcoming tour of Pakistan for a five-match T20I series.  It is important to mention that earlier the tour was put on hold amid regional tension between India and Pakistan.

BCB Gets Government Clearance for Pakistan Tour

A senior BCB official confirmed the development to Cricbuzz on Thursday (May 15), stating that although the official clearance letter is still awaited, the highest authorities have agreed to let the national team travel to Pakistan

The tour is expected to begin on May 27 and conclude on June 5, as per a revised itinerary shared by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) earlier this week.

"We have got the green signal (from the government) though we are yet to receive the official letter which we are expecting sooner than latter but as far as I know government have taken the decision in principle that they will let us visit Pakistan for the upcoming tour," a BCB official confirmed Cricbuzz on Thursday.

"After getting the official letter from the government we will start talking with our players as we learnt that some of them are reluctant to travel citing security reason," he said. "One thing we can assure is that we won't push anyone."

Bangladesh Tour Of Pakistan: Revised Schedule

Originally scheduled to run from May 25 to June 3, the Bangladesh tour of Pakistan was adjusted following a change in the PSL calendar.

The PCB's revised plan states that the first three T20Is take place in Faisalabad on May 27, 29, and June 1, while the final two games will be hosted in Lahore on June 3 and 5.

The clearance comes after the BCB delayed confirmation of the tour, citing the need for security assurances and governmental consultation in light of escalating geopolitical tensions. Bangladesh is currently in the UAE, where they will play two T20Is on May 17 and 19 before traveling to Pakistan.
