The Najmul Hossain-Led Bangladesh team created history in Pakistan recently by whitewashing the hosts in the two-match Test series. It was Bangladesh's first Test series win against Pakistan, and the way they dominated both the games has given them a lot of confidence ahead of a tougher challenge in India.

Bangla Tigers have also started sweating it out in the camp arranged at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur and are scheduled to travel to India shortly for the two-match Test series starting on the 19th of September in Chennai.

In the video released by Bangladesh Cricket on their official X handle, Shoriful Islam is seen expressing his thoughts on Bangladesh's series win in Pakistan and also added that they are confident of their chances in India. He also accepted the fact that India are a more experienced side than Pakistan and doing well against Rohit Sharma and co. would help them further grow as a team.

“We will try to start [against India] with a win and as we are fresh off a good series [against Pakistan], everyone is confident. So, we will try to use that."

“India are more experienced as a team compared to Pakistan and they are a big team. If we do well against a big side, worldwide we will be followed more and our games will be watched."

Bangladesh Need To Fire In Unison Against India

In the video, the likes of Litton Das, Mushfiqur Rahim are seen batting in the nets and they seemed quite determined to continue their good form against India. In the Pakistan series, Bangladesh batters showed a lot of composure and solidity under pressure, and it would be interesting to see how they go about their business against the might of Indian bowlers.

Also, one of the big positives for Bangladesh in the Test series against Pakistan was the performance of their pacers, and they would have to step up again to support their spinners and deliver in unison to beat India at home.

Rishabh Pant Returns To Test Cricket

Meanwhile, India have announced the 15-member squad for the first Test against Bangladesh and Rishabh Pant, the dashing wicketkeeper batter is back in the squad. Virat Kohli has also returned after missing out during England Test series and with crucial WTC points up for grabs, both teams would be looking to start the series with a bang.
